Life in the Lagoon

Watching the flow of boat traffic at bridge opening times became a pleasant pastime while in the lagoon.
The Simpson Bay Marina and Yacht Club, located just inside the lagoon, is a popular stopping point for a huge number of mega-yachts. We anxiously watched as they squeezed through the narrow bridge opening to gain access to the marina. The lifestyles of the rich and famous always keep us curious and entertained.
On one of our visits to the Sunset beach bar, at the end of the airport runway, we were surprised to find the swell, coming out of the north, washing right over the road; adding even more excitement to the "landing" experience.
